I follow Formartine United who are currently managed by ex-Caley Thistle boss Steve Paterson. We also have ex-Dundee player Craig McKeown in the heart of our defence as we go for our first ever SHFL Championship!

Cracking win for your team the other night Scribe!

I have mixed feelings about Steve Paterson.  Being a Ross County supporter, I want to not like him, but I read his book Confessions of a Highland Hero (or something like that) and its hard not to think that the guy is a legend!

Pele has come through a lot and is in a very good place just now. He has an unbelievable appetite for the game and is highly respected by all at North Lodge Park.

Thanks for the welcome jaybee

Scribe - I was surprised when Paterson left Huntly, he wasn't there very long, but he seems to be performing well at you guys so far.  Do you have title aspirations?  It would be great to have a few more Highland League teams in the Scottish League.

Getting interesting at the top of the league with 4 teams with 100% records after 5 games.

Wick Academy scored two goals in the final 5 minutes today to come from behind to win 2-1 and maintain their 100% record.

Formartine flying the Highland League flag tomorrow at Annan Athletic. Can they make history and book a semi-final berth?

We have picked them in our weekly podcast charity bet. I think it was Psychoheart that suggested them. Hopefully they do progress.

Top 3 all at home and play the bottom 3 in the Highland League tomorrow.  Should be routine wins, but you can never tell in football.  That is why we love it so much!

Brora Rangers v Fort William

Wick Academy v Lossiemouth

Formartine United v Rothes

Hello

I was a caley fan but my club died in 1994 when they forced to merge with thistle. Despite providing the ground, money and players!

Seems like Highland League clubs are putting the SPFL sides to shame. Good article posted here stating that the fans are keeping their sides alive whilst the SPFL is dying...

As a Wick born & bred fan living in Aberdeen,
I try to get too most of Wicks away games in the Aberdeen area.
& I have to say over the years the Highland League is growing better, stronger, & more competitive.
most of the Highland clubs seem mainly, to be run pretty well financially
In comparison to the Senior Scottish League teams
And some of the grounds are in better condition!!
