Replay of last night's action from Belfast just started on SS1.

Taylor gets his first two points on the board. He says that if he doesn't improve drastically over the next 12 months, he will walk away from the sport.

Well done Barney. Great darts from both.

If he does he will, imo, automatically be installed as the no. 1 pundit on the PDC televised tourneys. Great performances so far by Peter Wright. Gary Anderson done well last night also.

PDC signed a five year with Sky Sports recently. Taylor says that Barry Hearn had seeked assurances from him that he would continue for five years. That would suggest that his threat of quitting was a little hollow.

Probably correct however, although Phil Taylor has been great for darts and the best player ever, he is no longer the be all and end all of darts. Newcomers like Van Gerwen, Wright & possibly to a lesser degree (and I mean no disrespect) Dave Chisnall are now the way forward. Hate to say it as I loved watching him play (and winning) but The Power looks to be on the wane.

Another defeat for Taylor beaten 7-5 by Gary Anderson. Great entertainment with  three 6-6 draws. Peter Wright in his first Premier League season leads the board. Simon Whitlock beat Robert Thornton who barely acknowledged his opponent at the end of the match. Didn't see any words being exchanged or any incident during the match.

Anderson was 3/1 to win.

Considering Taylor's recent form that was a good price.

There is an interesting article on the guardian - sorry for no link, but i am reading on my phone and posting on a pc - about Phil Taylor. It says that his current Premier League average is better than last season, yet he is obviously toiling at the bottom of the league. The article questions his bottle, rather than his throwing.

THAT comment is rather insulting towards his opponents who have beaten him. I just wonder how Taylor's average compares to the others in this years PL.

If his opponent can close out a leg and he can't, I can't see how that is an insult to his opponent.

Going by the comment it is giving no credit to the opponent, more down to Taylor not having the bottle. Could simply not be that the players who have beaten him are simply better at the moment?

Only caught the last couple of minutes, Taylor beat Chisnall 7-5.  Very close could have went either way from what the commentators were saying.

Chisnall let Taylor off the hook a couple of times.

Chisnall was firing in the 180s, but was terrible at points. There was one leg where he was worse than I could play.

Another win for Peter Wright & retains top position. For a newcomer he's doing excellent.
