I was quite intrigued this weekend to see that all 6 games saw both teams score. I imagined it was probably quite rare so decided to research whether it had been done previously this season.

Prior to this weekend it hadn't been done. There were 3 occasions where 5 of the games were successful in terms of BTTS.

Week 4 saw every team score apart from Dundee United.
Week 9 saw every game apart from Celtic v Hearts be successful. It finished 0-0
Week 10 once again saw every team score apart from Dundee United.

The odds for all 6 games this weekend to be BTTS was 45/1

St Johnstone have scored in every game this season and have only kept one clean sheet.

Dundee have only failed to score twice and kept only two clean sheets.

Dundee United have failed to score in 7 games.

a while back I looked at a similar scenario in Germany where over 2.5 goals was coming up a lot

I'll need to check the other Scottish leagues to see if it's been done this season.

I think Dundee v Aberdeen is next weekend....must be a great chance of a BTTS.

It could be as Dundee have only failed to score twice. It was against Aberdeen and Celtic though.

Dundee have drawn 1-1 in their last 4 games.

Aberdeen have had 6 clean sheets if I recall correctly. They were all at start of season though.

Was it at Pittodrie ? I always fancy Dundee to score at home & I fancy Aberdeen to score at least one in this game.

Swaying towards having a good punt on this.

Dundee have scored in all their home league games and Aberdeen have scored in all but one of their away league games

Some more BTTS info.

Aberdeen have had 9 games finish BTTS and have kept 7 clean sheets. They've only failed to score once.

Celtic, Dundee United, Hamilton and Ross County have been involved in 9 BTTS games.

Dundee have had 12. They've failed to score 3 times.

Inverness and Kilmarnock have both been involved in 10 BTTS games.

St Johnstone lead the way though with 16 BTTS games, have kept one clean sheet and haven't failed to score this season.

I've gone for a pound on it this week. Probably be scuppered at Pittodrie by half 2 on Saturday!

If you look at the stats for this season..........the St Johnstone v Celtic match @ odds of 11/10 (betvictor) for BTTS seems to have been priced up a little bit generously for it to happen.

St Johnstone score at home average of 1.75 goals and conceed on average 1.13 goals

Celtic score on average 2.25 goals away from home and normally conceed a goal on their travels on average

Bottom line - St Johnstone home matches have seen 100% of matches this season in the league with both teams scoring. Celtic have seen 75% of their away league matchs with both teams scoring.

To me this looks like a BTTS punt!
