Should we remove the Like button functionality from the forum?

I actually like the like function :-) , if someone makes a great point or posts up good stats I "like" that poster to know it's appreciated or funny.

I do feel it is used on occasion in a negative way and to side with people but that is down to individuals.
I do like it but it's a catch 22 for me.

You should also add a "couldn't care" option as this seems to be a fuss by a few about nothing ;-)

With a grand total of 8 votes I take it that it really is just the few who have an issue with the like button lol

I also think a far bigger question is why do so many people visit the site but very few actually post?

Either bin it or replace it with attachicon.gifthumbs up.PNG and to provide some balance add attachicon.gifthumbs down.PNG .

Again Hairy...... I believe it would be used in a negative way.

I understand your point, but believe, if you have something to say, you should say it and not hide behind a wee sly like or dislike.

Each to there own though.

I agree that one should state one's case rather than use a button, and there is no doubt that, regardless of how it is presented, it could be used in a negative or passive aggressive fashion and for that reason alone the forum would be better off without the feature.

But if it is to be retained then I believe there should be a second option.

Maybe Craig could give us some indication of how long he will let this thread run before coming to a decision.

It's strange that so far there have been over 200 views of the thread but only 9 votes have been cast.

It's their own ;-) surprised (or maybe not) Hairy Scot didn't pull you up for that one.
