my guess is all 3 players that pulled out will play in the OF game.

You are probably right.

Of course they will, I still find it funny Wallace has only been selected once in 4 years despite being our best full back or option at various times during that period when others were injured. He called up a right back to play on the left.

Now after 4 games he is deemed good enough, have to say it annoys me about Strachan and further strengthens my thoughts on his abilty to harm my countries chance.

because he is shite at actually defending maybe

Wallace was only called up because Tierney pulled out, he is clearly 3rd choice in the pecking order for LB

Oh i know why he was called up Gaffa, my point was this happened a few times during the last few years and he was ignored for another player but suddenly he is deemed worthy.
It stinks in my opinion and typical of Strachans selection.

Do you think Wallace is shit at defending ? Have to say I dont think it is his strongest part of his game but its certainly not his weakest.
During his time at Rangers he works just as hard at either end.

He does a lot of subtle things very well defensively, although obviously going forward is his strength.

He has a great engine on him but constantly gets caught out of position. Was the same at Hearts.

I think WGS brings him in for games where he things we might actually attack in games.

I think if you could replicate what Wallace and McKay do for Rangers down the left hand side it would be a good option.

First game of the campaign and even though we are away from home it's quite clearly a must win without a doubt.  Luckily we start against Malta who have a pretty poor record but noticeably Croatia, Bulgaria and Italy all struggled to just 0-1 victories in the Euro16 qualifiers when they visited Malta. (so that's a worry!). We have to go out and be positive from the start!

Team I reckon WGS will start with:

Marshall; Hutton, Hanley, Martin, Robertson; Snodgrass, D.Fletcher, Morrison, Anya; Ritchie, S.Fletcher

And I'd say rightly so. Tierney looks a class act, the complete full-back at 19. He's only going to get better. Robertson looks even better good going forward, although less so going back, and even has a goal in him and he's only 22. I'd say they're both as good if not better than Wallace and have time on their side. We also have Kingsley who, at 22, is first choice at Swansea.

After years of struggling with Whittaker, Crainey and the like, left-back is now by far our strongest position so no wonder Wallace is 3rd or 4th choice. He should've been included during the Levein years when we were struggling.
