Former Middlesbrough, Dundee and Italy striker Fabrizio Ravanelli applied for the position.

Imagine this guy managing in the SPL, laughs all round, but he would certainly brighten things up

Just when you thought there were no genuinely funny moments left in Scottish Football and Craig Levein is appointed Manager of Hearts. Pure comedy gold.

Idiotic and greed and anyone pandering to the club buy buying a ticket for that area needs their head examined. This really should have been taken into consideration when plans were being drawn up. It isn't fucking rocket science.

Canny see them not getting it TBH. There would need to be something really terribly wrong with it for them not to give them it.

Like it's facing the pitch for example

UPDATE FROM ANN BUDGE

By: Hearts Media on 17 Nov, 2017 16:29

Good afternoon all

I know every Hearts supporter, and indeed every Partick Thistle supporter, is awaiting the announcement that will confirm or otherwise, whether our upcoming game can be played at Tynecastle Park on Sunday, 19 November.

I cannot, at this time, definitively say ‘yes’ but I can say that every indication points to the game going ahead.

The facts are as follows:-

  • In order to start utilising our new Main Stand, we require a Temporary Occupation Certificate, issued by City of Edinburgh Council (CEC), Building Controls Department.

Why ‘temporary’? Quite simply because our development is a phased development, with different parts of the building coming on stream over the course of the coming months.

Please remember: This is a work-in-progress and we have a long way to go before completion.

  • For the game to go ahead we then need a Safety Certificate.
  • We have been meeting regularly with the CEC officials to anticipate potential problems and ensure, as far as possible, that there are no last minute surprises. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the officials for the support they have provided over recent weeks.

Following our meeting with CEC officials this morning, there are a few elements of work still to be completed. Our Construction Management Team is very confident that this will be achieved.

A final visit will take place tomorrow at 12noon, following which I hope to be able to issue a “we are open for business” message early tomorrow afternoon. However...no guarantees!

Communication Plan

So… in short, everyone at the Club is working flat out, on the assumption that the game will go ahead.

With that in mind, we will be issuing various communications over the next 24 hours to ensure supporters are as fully informed as possible, before arriving at the stadium. These communications will cover:-

  • Arrival times / Entertainment Programme
  • Ticket Sales & Collections
  • Access Arrangements
  • New Main Stand Facilities
  • Club Helpers
  • Club Shop / Memorial Garden / Museum

Restrictions

Returning again to the fact that this is still a “work-in-progress”, I want to stress that the building is, in large part, still a building site. As such, a number of points need to be noted, in order to set expectations and ensure supporter safety.

1. Only part of the Ground Floor (Main Reception area, the Players’ Lounge and the Supporter Turnstiles) will be open for business. All other areas are strictly out-of-bounds.

2. While the main concourses (North and South) are fully operational, a few facilities will be unavailable, namely one kiosk in both North and South sections and the disabled toilets in the North section.

Large kiosks in both concourse areas, with 10 serving points in each, will however be fully operational, which will provide more than sufficient capacity for supporters.

In terms of disabled toilets, supporters in the North section who wish to use disabled toilets will, for this match, require to make their way to the South section where disabled toilets are fully available.

3. I want to stress that not all concourse areas have been decorated to the finished standard, particularly in the North section. However, we will have everything fully completed and decorated to a high standard over the coming weeks.

Our principal objective has been to get back to playing our games at Tynecastle as soon as possible and, as such, our main focus has been related to safety issues, not décor.

In particular, I would mention that we still have to complete some ceiling sections (especially in the North section), but please be assured that everything is perfectly safe.

4. Everything above concourse level is totally out of bounds. Please adhere to barriers and to the stewards and do not attempt to gain entry to the higher levels. This would be a major Health & Safety risk and would almost certainly give us major problems in terms of gaining Safety Certificates for future games.

5. For the first few games, we will be restricting access to the new stand concourse area to main stand ticket holders only. While we appreciate that supporters in other stands may wish to “have a look”, we feel this restriction is necessary until all facilities are available and fully operational.

6. Please note that there will be no smoking facilities available to Main Stand users for this match. We will provide limited external areas for smoking as soon as practicable in the same manner as with other stands. However, at this point in time, please remember there is no smoking or vaping allowed.

7. Access between the North and South ends of the stand will, in future, be available via the walkway between the upper and lower tiers. However, in the short-term, this will only be allowed for disabled supporters needing to access toilet facilities in the South Stand.

Stewarded barriers will be in place and we would seek your cooperation by staying in your own concourse area for now.

To conclude, we are all very excited about getting back to Tynecastle Park for our game on Sunday. If, for whatever reason, this does not happen, it will not be for the want of trying. Club Staff, Construction Workers and Council Officials have all worked tirelessly to make this happen. If it can be done, it will be!

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding while we move forward with our development plans.
