mostly singles i buy, albums these days are a load of bull and a mix of any old shite to get you to buy their tunes

besides for a while the music industry got lazy, how many albums have you bought that only have 2 or 3 descent tracks

downloads have made them a wee bit annoyed
How old are you bear? Don't answer if you don't want to, but at 28 I can't remember when I last bought a single and instead buy albums, even if I have only heard one song from a band. I know people at my work who buy digital songs and build their own compilation albums, but I love hearing an album in their entirety.

I am the same as yourself Craig in that I haven't bought a single for years. Albums all the way for me.

nearly 40 m8,i dont mean singles as in CD form im more an itunes man so buy a load of singles off there,my collection on my laptop is over 120 gig and CD's when i used to buy them i have over 300 of them gathering dust, also got a collection of over 200 vinyl, but the vinyl are older stuff, all the beatles albums pristine condition scratch free along with the usual, stones, the byrds etc, couple of dodgy albums on vynil such as a few leo sayer and Barry Manilow, but a couple of gems like bee gees live in concert and Wings across america double album,i prefer the sound of vinyl,cd's just dont do it for me .
Last single i bought was Darwin Deez

I've not bought that many albums that have come out this year but Bread and Circuses by The View is good as is Last Night On Earth by Noah and the Whale.

Really looking forward to Kasabian album next month though as they are my favourite current band.

kasabian are cool, have you heard the mix of "clubfoot"which has been done by Oakenfold, absoloutly amazing m8 at first it sounds a bit like lady gagas born this way, kinda edgy, kinda jaggy, kind of in your face way with a crackinbeat going on.
Dont get me wrong im not her biggest fan infact im not a fan at all but swaying away from her it just sounds like her music even though its not,if that makes sense,i get a bit tongue tied when talking bout music lol.

I've not heard it dude but if it sounds like Gaga I'd probably hate it.

If you have link then pm me it though and I'll give my verdict.

Some nice choices there. I too bought Noah and the Whale a month or so back, really like it.

Fopp for Ryan Adams on my return to the home land.

The other day I went to new music shop in town where Tower Records used to be.

I bought the following:

Velociraptor! by Kasabian - deluxe version which includes live DVD
Be Here Now by Oasis
(What's The Story) Morning Glory? by Oasis
Heathen Chemistry by Oasis
Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants by Oasis

I had the Oasis albums before but had lost them over the years.

The shop was doing some great offers like 3 for £5 or 2 for £5

Nicely done Jay.

Love the music shops and the deals. I could spend hours at HMV browsing for those gems at cheap prices.

My latest purchase was The Clash - Live At Shea Stadium
