For the last few years I have been doing fantasy football leagues through the Metro newspaper and the Barclays official Premiership site.

Who is interested if I set one up for next season?

Probably won't be set up till July.

that sounds a good idea. An SFF mini league would be good banter

do they give you HTML to allow the mini league table to be embedded elsewhere? That would be perfect so we can display the table here as well.

I will set it up when it's announced.

I'm guessing they have HTML, it's easy enough though to copy and paste the scores.

I was really thinking of a widget that I could embed into a page.

I'm not that techy minded so you'd maybe have to check on the site itself.

If they did have a widget, it should be fairly obvious because they would advertise it.

jaybee, im sure that this was the first season where there wasnt a scottish fantasy football. The Sun was the last major name to stop doing it.

Why doesn't the official SPL website run a Fantasy football comp. Or a website ala STV that has major coverage of the SPL (and Scottish fitba in general). Makes no sense to me.

it is maybe not worth the hassle for them to do one.

You need to collate all the player ratings, goal scorers, substitutions, when the goal was scored etc etc. That is hard work

I've never done the sky one. The guardian used to do a good one but stopped.

The metro one I've done for 3 years now and it's fairly good I reckon.

The metro one looks quite good. Much more complex than the Sky one.

What is the sky one like?

Craig, can you make this a sticky so it stays at top of section?

You get points for appearances, goals, assists, man of the match, goalkeeper/defender clean sheets; and lose for yellow cards, red cards, goalkeeper/defender goals against. Captains gain/lose double points. You choose 11 players and can have 5 transfers per month, up to 30 total. You get a budget of £55m (dearest player is £7.9m), you can pick no more than two players from a club and use either a 4-3-3, 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 formation.

Although I follow the Scottish football set up, I'm more interested in fantasy leagues for the English premiership, more players and stronger teams to pick from

I'd say the metro or official one would be best as it allows a squad system of 15 players.
