£2m for Goodwillie? Worth it? I think in the current climate, for a striker and someone contracted for another couple of years, it's probably about right. The only issue is off the field I think.

However if Goodwillie has struggled in his private life to deal with the pressures of playing for Dundee United, playing for Rangers could easily destroy him and his undoubted potential.
I think it's a gamble worth taking although there has to be some conditions related to his current rape charges especially as he is being represented by a particularly dodgy QC.

Eck might be able or want to use Cuellar + cash (?) to bring in McGregor, who would do the business for Villa in the nets.

I'm guessing that Man City will be paying majority of whatever wage he is on if he comes.

I imagine he aint on huge wages, compared to the rest of the team, and City will be happy to pay them - just look at Bellamy going to Cardiff rather than another Premiership side.
Never seen the guy play so I'm only making this comment from what I know, but he was only 3rd choice at Leeds when on loan from Eastlands when they were in League 1, so not sure how great he is.
Maybe decent though!
