Strike up the band :lol: ... some close season news on players coming out of Celtic Park. Lenny is apparently saying that he has x3 in view and has confirmed x2 targets as Fraser Forster (former loan from Maggpies) and Victor Wanyama, who I know nothing about.

Yesterday we took on Icelandic international defensive midfielder Kari Arnason on a trial basis.

He will join us on our pre-season camp in Italy, following his departure from Plymouth. 28, 6ft 3, and can also play at centre back. Not the most inspiring possible signing but possibly worthwhile.

Some concern on Rangers Media about the possibility of Jelavic being sold,I know every player has his price but he has only been here 10mins if the price is right should be allowed to go,its a no go as far as im concerned if Rangers are to progress in Europe its annoying that when great players are unearthed and then maybe sold on its disappointing it really is.

its business cal...same as celtic..if any offers for kayal and izaguirre come in and present a £8-£10m profit then they have to take it and go find another 2 and start again..

Hibs rumoured to be after ex Motherwell striker Chris Porter.

Motherwell close to agreeing new contract with Steve Jennings and close to signing Nicky Low from Rotherham.

Celtic going to take a look at 18 year old Mustafa Amini who plays for Central Coast Mariners while in Australia.

To be honest I think many realistic Rangers fans were never expecting a hugely different scenario than previous seasons. I think Whyte's 'warchest' talk is nonsense, and in all honesty he only really cited the £5m transfer funds each year, which isn't an awful lot for a club like Rangers. I mean Jelavic alone cost £4m.

Like most Scottish clubs, Rangers will still be keeping a strict eye on finances and won't be going overboard with spending.

Other teams have had problems for ages trying to attract players to SPL so it's just good to see Rangers having same issue.
