Talbot hosted Ayrshire rivals Beith in the league yesterday. It finished 0-0 with Beith having better of first half and Talbot having better of second half. This result probably brings to an end the chance for either team to win the league.

Talbot drew 1-1 today away to Bonnyrigg Rose with Pope scoring a penalty for Talbot and Bonnyrigg scoring an equaliser late on. The second leg is next week.

The young one got his photo taken with Darren Fletcher after the game.

What a second leg. It finished 0-0 but there was plenty of chances for both teams. Bonnyrigg had three fantastic chances and a possible penalty shout. Leishman made three fantastic saves. Talbot had better of second half which was helped partly by Bonnyrigg number 4 getting a straight red for lashing out. McCann had a great chance in injury time to win the tie for Talbot but pulled his shot wide. The tie finished 1-1 on aggregate and went to penalties. It was harsh on both teams and a horrible way to decide a game with so much at stake. Talbot prevailed 6-5 on penalties with captain for the day Latta scoring the winner after Bonnyrigg number 10 hit cross bar in sudden death.

Credit to Bonnyrigg fans for their support today and I genuinely felt sorry for them losing today.

Sitting in 5th position !!....but with four games less played than the league leaders...think Talbot will be champions Jay

I think Talbot may have too many games left in league to be able to win it. Irvine Meadow are favourites as they have no cup matches.

Ayrshire is full of talented players.

On Saturday Talbot lost surprisingly at home to Ashfield 0-3 in West of Scotland semi final.

Talbot won 0-1 away to Largs in the league with a penalty from Pope. Three league games left against Ashfield (away), Pollok (home) and Irvine Meadow (home). There is a possibility that Talbot v Meadow could be a league decider.

Sorry that table is untidy but I'm not sure how to get it in correct format. Talbot will be looking to get revenge by winning at Ashfield. The last two games being at home should help.
