For the FM players on the forum, just wondered if anyone fancied laying down a challenge set by another forum member? I only say this as I'm keen on starting a new game, and I like to instil a new quick, passing, closing down (Barca-esque) style at a new side but I just can't pick who to go.

I always stick with the UK, and generally void the big teams in England, although it's also hard if you pick the lowest teams in Scotland as you have limited players to select.

So, anyone fancy suggesting a team for me to go and see how far I can take them...? If anyone else fancies having a challenge set by someone else feel free to join in...

If it's in England then pick Peterborough.

Any particular reason? Happy to go with it like - as good a challenge as any! :D

Why not go Scotland and see if you can do anything with them. A totally different game when going a national manager

Just too boring - nae enough games, and you can't do training etc either. Only really take a national job along with a club job, and even then I can rarely be arsed...

I've done this a few times, with varying success. One of the more entertaining teams to go was Sheffield Wednesday.
I always got decent crowds, and after a few seasons, a bit of money to spend.

Yeah it's good to go potential 'big' sides as you can keep going up and building each season as the fanbase is there if you succeed. It's certainly harder in the new FM to take small teams further as it's more realistic with potential crowds and funding.

If anyone is interested in a Scottish challenge, how about Dundee? Starting on -25 points, got to earn survival firstly and then try and rebuild the side - could be interesting.

Why don't we try to get an online game going? There are a few players online, and as long as we agree a suitable time to play, it should be fun.

They will be in league 1 and have a couple of decent players in Boyd and Mackail-Smith if it's 2011 version. Reckon you could build them up ok.

I've said before I'm not so keen on the online games anymore, tried a few of them recently and quite frankly I just take too long for most people. Only time I've had a successful one was when it was just me and one other.

Here's a question for everyone, do you keep attribute masking on or not?

I've always kept it on, but it would be so much easier if it wasn't - so I could literally go by solely attribute searches all the time.

Does anyone turn it off so you can always see a player's attributes?

I always keep it on. It's more realistic that way

I'm up for a challenge of us all going same team and seeing who can do best with them.

Could be an idea - prefer it to an online game if I'm honest, for the reasons mentioned previously!

How should we pick a team? And I presume it's FM11 we're all using yes, and version 11.3.0?

FM2011 & version 11.3 is a must ad that's the most up to date. With regards to the team, not sure how we pick this, but I'd be happy to go anyone, although I might be good to play in the Scottish Premier League.
Dunfermline are the newest team in the league, so that would give us a challenge.

I'm happy to go anyone, as I said at the start of the thread I fancied a new challenge but just couldn't decide who to go!
