MW3 vs Battlefield 3, which is the better one to go for? battlefield 3 is new on the block and offers a lot more and looks fantastic, but modern warfare is tried and trusted as the other 2 before it have been excellent

In my old age (29) i dont like to try new games too often, so I will stick with Modern Warfare 3. I am not very good at FPS, but at least I know the buttons for it

haha im tempted to stick with what i know and go for modern warfare too, but quite a few people i know are switching to battlefield 3

The BF beta was awful. But I think I'm through with COD, sick to the back teeth of it.

BFBC2 was fantastic, I might just stick with that.

It has to be Battlefield 3 IMO miles better than the COD franchise which is aimed at the console market with small maps etc, the battlefield franchise ( the proper one on the PC not Bad Company ) has been around for many many years and is a favourite among PC gamers.

Played the Alpha and the Beta from BF3 and it was quite simply stunning.

On PC presumably as the console version was rough as feck.

I've never played a FPS on my pc for years, because it was never up to it. Now I have a decent one. I might try it out. Is battlefield out now?

No on the PC the game is optimised and ported to console some things have been turned down on the console, such as the number of players on console version which is 24 players max on the PC it is upto 125 players map size is a lot smaller on console as well and ofcourse the graphics on the console, due to them being over 6/7 years old hardware inside them making a XBox or PS3 struggle to play a game such as this in all its glory.
It runs really sweet on my PC but i have just spent a small fortune on a new one.

Only played a FPS on PC the once. The array of controls was frightening if I'm honest. I was lost on the Keyboard trying to remember which key done what. FPS games look superb on PC and I used to love watching the group competitions on Sky. Some serious cash prizes to be had and the gamers were fantastic

BF3 is decent on PS3, some truly honking maps though. The good, big sandbox ones are exceptional mind you. Think this might finally have COD's number.
