SSN are reporting that Diouf has signed a three month deal with Championship side Doncaster. Apparently there were also EPL sides looking to sign him but he decided to join Dean Saunders side.
When all’s said and done it’s only a game.

Wouldn't give him the time of day never mind a contract. Should be nowhere near the sport

Dean Saunders is the manager there? That explains a lot.

I read a suggestion that it was Saunders that persuaded him to go and he rejected offers from the EPL

I've never worked out who my first Celtic hero was. It was either Dariusz Dziekanowski or Paul Elliott (they played in the same team) but I know I hate Saunders purely because he was the man who finished Elliott's career prematurely.

Is Diouff still under contract wi Blackburn? The reason I ask is that Willie McKay the agent has the exclusive rights as to who Doncaster bring in. Doncaster pay a maximum of £2K per week towards the players wages and his parent club pay the rest. They are only short term deals and when the player is finally sold (if) then McKay gets a VERY generous slice of the fee. I realise that it's outwith the transfer window hence my question & if Diouff isn't under contract perhaps he's happy to struggle on wi £2K a week until he possibly gets a move further afield. bTW...Doncaster are paying McKay £100 per week.

No he's a free agent, his departure from Blackburn by mutual consent. It's strange why he joined Doncaster when it's alleged that premiership clubs were also after signature.

Possibly as a stop gap until the next window when he can be signed up by whoever is willing to pick up the tab and the luggage.

£100 a week isnt much, but I guess if its commission based, it could work out well

Walter Smith's biggest call of last season was dropping him for the League Cup final and then carrying on with him as a bit part player. That one decision probably played the biggest part in securing the wee double.

There's some wierd stuff going on at doncaster with transfers! apprently the agent willie mckay is getting loads of players to play there for a couple of months before selling them on! quite interesting and probably corrupt... http://www.theplayer...otball-article/

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this guy should have been run out of the game years ago. It's astounding people continue to employ him in this country.
