We're getting our wee fella an X-Box for Christmas and as I know nowt about these I thought I ask on here for advice.
Agros are doing a deal with a 250GB and 4 games including Forza for £250
Morrisons are doing a 250GB with Forza for £200 or a 4GB with Kinetic and 4 games for £250.
The argos deal sounds the best to me so far but GG was thinking about the 4GB from Morrisons any help would be appreciated.

i bought my son an X-box 360 a few years ago mate . It didn't last much more than it's 12 month warranty and then died . Just a heads up .
He's had his Playstation 3 for 2 years now and had no problems what so ever . I bought that too

The first XB360s were horrific, pretty much all of them became faulty within a short period of time - whereas the PS3, as you mention, lasted far longer - I've had my PS3 for over 3 years now and it's still going strong (famous last words).
However, they are now on the new black models of the 360, and I'm not sure if these have had the same sort of issues - as far as I'm aware they haven't, but I may be wrong.
I'll paint this place maroon!

Jnr's Uncle bought her one at the weekend (he's okay for a Bluenose lol) and he shopped around and got a good deal at Game (I didn't like to ask what the deal was) it came with Uefa12 and also a voucher with £15 off another wireless controller.

The new x box are now reliable as the hardware issue that caused the massive failure rate has now been resolved in the slim model.
It depends what you use it for. If you will download a lot of content like films or games go for the extra space 250g. If you will buy games mostly via disc then 4g will do you for game saves. (buying via disc means you can trade or sell that game later).
IMO Kinnect is a bag of shite with nothing really to play on it. But the wee man might like the sparse shitty movement based games on it. Personally though, I wouldn't touch it with yours.
Anothet thing to consider is a new x box is rumoured to be announced in about 8 months making the 360 out of date tech wise. The PS3 definitely still has another 5 years left of its product cycle. I'd be tempted to play it safe and go Sony, plus online play is free.
PM me if you need any other info, I have both consoles and know a fair bit about the pros and cons of each.
Ps - IMO of the two deals you have mentioned, the 250g one is the better option. Although if you aak on our forum one of our bargain team might be able to source a better deal. I'll kep my ear to the ground to.
