Hopefully Jimmy can contribute to this thread with news on his club.

They have had a mixed season with the loss of key players like Conway, Gomis, Bauben and Goodwillie. Those four were probably among their better players and they struggled a bit without them at start of season.

At moment Jon Daly is scoring plenty goals for them and they are starting to pick up better results. They are expected though to lose more first team players at end of the season or maybe before. Scott Allan is one who has been linked with both halves of old firm and also clubs down south. Gary Kenneth is another who feels he needs a new challenge.

united had a huge hole in them at the start of the season, not just in the amount of players that left but more importantly the quality.....the ones they brought in,although not bad, had to gel and that takes time.....i'm just hoping it takes at least another week

kenneth stating his desire to move on cant be beneficial

Dundee United chairman has revealed that sale of David Goodwillie has reduced club's debt to £3.8million.

He also says the club are no longer going to sign players on £2,500 a week.

Media reporting that it a step in the right direction. The Goodwille transfer made a huge difference to the Annual statement

Depends what the previous losses were I suppose- doesn't sound too much though.

The club have extended Gary Mackay Steven's contract till 2015. He seems to have been getting some good reports of late and I think plays on the left so I wonder whether he could be an option for Scotland.

He looks a decent winger, bit of pace and can run at defenders.

Haven't seen enough of him to say how consistently he does it, but the likes of him and Templeton could offer decent wide options, as well as Forrest and Wylde.

United have signed a new keeper on a pre contract

Dundee United have signed the Polish goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak on a pre-contract agreement.
The 28-year-old has signed a two-year deal, with the option of a third.
United manager Peter Houston says the player, who will join up at Tannadice in the summer, impressed during a trial period at the club.
"I liked what I saw of Radoslaw during his time at the club and Steve Banks worked very closely with him for a week," Houston told the club website.
"Steve liked what he saw and confirmed he has all the attributes you look for in a goalkeeper.
"He showed good hands, he was comfortable with the ball at his feet, proved to be a strong communicator and above all looks an excellent shot-stopper.
"It is our belief that he will be a great success here at United and someone our fans will warm to immediately.
"This signing will again show supporters that we are continually trying to look to the future and enhance our squad at all times. "

I think there will be a fair amount of rebuilding the squad this summer at Tannadice.

It's on the telly as well isn't it? I think it will be an attendance of around 5000.

United wont lose out as much as other teams with Rangers missing, Dundee at Tannadice is more or less always a sell out

What players have left United? I can think of Pernis, Kenneth and Dixon.

Hopefully the derbies will also be a bit of a leveller, I'd like to hope we'd be a lot nearer United points wise this season (despite beating them three times last season)
