Stirling Albion are currently sitting at the bottom of the 2md Division.

Stirling Albion Football Club have parted company with their management team Jocky Scott and John Blackley by mutual consent.

Scott’s departure comes after Albion suffered a 4-1 home defeat to Airdrie United which sees them prop up the Division Two table.

The club are two points adrift of Forfar after a run of seven straight league defeats and a Scottish Cup exit at the hands of Dundee.

Defender Greig McDonald will take charge of the side for Tuesday’s game against Forfar at Station Park.

Scott replaced John O’Neill as manager in January this year but failed to win a league game until the final day of the season as Albion were relegated from Division One.

After losing key players in the summer including captain Ross Forsyth, Martyn Corrigan, Paul McHale and Scott Robertson, the Binos boss rebuilt the squad with young players and loan signings.

The league campaign started off well with a 1-0 win over East Fife and a 5-1 thrashing of Dumbarton in August.

However since then Stirling have only won once, on October 1 against Brechin City, and supporters had become restless at the thought of a second successive relegation.

When all’s said and done it’s only a game.
