Former Scotland striker Scott Booth has returned to national set up as assistant coach to the youth teams.
The player previously worked with performance director Mark Wotte in Holland and they will unite again as SFA push to become a major force again.
The 39 year old is currently attempting to get his uefa pro licence but has already achieved his A and B licences.

Doesn't surprise me, he seems like one of those ex players that knows a bit about the game and has a passion for coaching, he certainly did well from what I saw of his media turns, not like some players/ex players who can'y string more than three words together without using a football cliche (Hateley anyone) Good luck to him , I reckon whe will do well, he was a good servant to Aberdeen, shame he was blighted with injuries

He also has experience of playing on continent and different cultures which I think is of benefit too.

Was a change of career inevitable with burley and provan being the preffered second men on the SPL sports channels.
