I was just reading in the paper that they are playing o2 arena in London on Saturday. They are going to play all 38 of their singles which is impressive stuff. I think the most songs I've heard live by one band is when I saw Biffy Clyro last year, they played about 24 songs.

wow, that is a massive set. They will surely have to have a couple of breaks in between to have a rest. The drummer will be knackered.

I think they were the first band I ever seen live, when they played the SECC. Catatonia supported them

Pretty impressive, wouldn't mind seeing that. Sponsored by soothers surely? Is this a one night only gig?

As far as I'm aware it is a one off gig. It may set a trend though. The recent trend seems to be bands celebrating anniversaries of album releases.

Wasn't there talk of their next album having 70 songs.
There's only one team in Dundee, always was, always will be.

I've not heard that one but it wouldn't surprise me.

I think even if I liked the band I'd get bored after about 12 songs.

70 songs is impressive, but I heard that the flaming lips have a 24 hour long song.

I like the attitude towards the new album. 100% doing what they want and not what they think will be a success.

Not surprising that the Preachers would considering doing an album of 70 songs. They have never been known to go with the status quo.
