Apparently the kid is doing really well at Chelsea and banging the goals in (5 in 7). Showing signs of becoming the player everyone hoped when he was at Celtic. Good news for the national team too

He'll probably go play for England now. Using the Scottish game as a stepping stone.

He has shown that he can be swayed, by an agent or whoever, so I wouldnt be surprised if he did jump ship. Although he might not be allowed to due to his age and lack of years schooling.

good luck to him, but i still think he was wrong and i'm not yet convinced he'll make the grade at chelsea, just the sheer pressureinvolved at that team has seen better players (and managers) try and fail....still think he'll be loaned out in a year or 2 to championshipe or lower league.
as for his international status......not really sure on the ruling in his case...his passport is obviously british now (least i think it is).....but as he has no maternal/paternal link to any one of the home nations then would he classed in a similar vein the players from the channels islands (le tissier.le saux e.g)?

As far as I'm aware, the only countries he is eligible to play for under the current rules are Scotland (schooling) or Somalia (birth). I very much doubt he'd opt to play for Somalia, where his family fled, so that leaves us in a strong position

Mark Wotte went to watch the player this week. He is already in reserve set up at Chelsea and still wants to play for Scotland.

I would be surprised if Feruz played for England. He has been extremely gratefull for the opportunity that a country like Scotland provided for him and his family so I think playing for his adopted country would be his way of paying that some respect.
