Tonight 2300 ITV 2 is showing Deep Blue Sea . Apologies to anybody who hasn't seen it for this big spoiler . The major star of this film , Samuel L Jackson get's wiped out very early on in the movie in a scene that was totally unexpected . Is this the biggest shocker ever seen on film or can you think of any other moments on film that were more surprising ?

Brian falling off the unfinished tower only to land in a passing space ship . Certainly wisne expecting that . Bit like the Spanish inquisition in that respect

Was his escape unexpected ? Or do you mean the manner of it ? . Mind you as i had read the story before watching the film i knew what was going to happen .

Both were a surprise for me, but then I hadn't read the story, mind you in saying that I can be a bit gullible and miss the twists in films

Frank Darabont certainly made a great film of what was a decent short story . he did the same with the Green Mile . I hear he is currently working on a film adaptation of the Dark Tower series of books . That'll be some project .
