The 2012/13 season will see the Scottish Cup final played on a Sunday for the first time.
It will be played on May 26 2013 to prevent it clashing with Champions League final.
This year's final will be played on same date as Champions League final which UEFA want to avoid happening in future.
In England, history will be made next season as FA Cup final will be moved to a 17:30 kick off to cash in on global tv audience.

I thought the champions league final was in the evening, therefore a clash wouldn't occur.

UEFA in their wisdom have apparently decided that no national final can be played on the same DAY!
