Kick off is 13:00 on Saturday, live on Sky Sports.

I personally think this is a tough one to call, with Killie showing at the weekend that their defence can be woeful, although I have seen much better from them in the season so far, with their first half against Celtic showing what they are capable off. Looking purely at the league tables, you would think that Killie should come out on top, but I like the romance of the cup and for that very reason, I think I am going to go for an Ayr victory. I certainly don't think it will be easy, but I think the sense of occasion will lift the Ayr players more than Killie.

I'm going as a neutral and looking forward to it. I'll be in Killie end though. I'm just looking forward to hopefully a good game and an interesting atmosphere.

I would like to see Ayr give it a good game but think Killie will win this one.

Ayr United's path to the semis - a 3-0 win away to East Stirling, a 1-0 win at home over Inverness Caley Thistle, a 4-1 penalty shoot out win at home to Hearts after a 1-1 draw, and a 1-0 win away to St Mirren.

Kilmarnock's path to the semis, the only team to come in at the third round despite having not played in Europe - a 5-0 home win over Queen of the South, and a 2-0 home win over East Fife.

The two last met in this competition in the third round in 2001-02 when Ayr United won 5-4 on penalties after a 0-0 draw. Ayr went on to lose 4-0 in the final to Rangers. They also won 1-0 in 1996-97 in this competition, but again lost to Rangers in the following round. They've met in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup since in 2008-09, where Kilmarnock won 3-1 in the replay at Rugby Park after a 2-2 draw at Somerset Park. Kilmarnock then lost in the next round to Inverness.

It's not that. Try again. I never got it initially either. Try saying it slower.

In competitive matches, the #AyrshireDerby head to head reads Killie 57 Ayr 47, with 35 draws.

In the League Cup, the clubs have 5 wins apiece with 5 draws. Ayr won one of those drawn matches on penalties. #AyrshireDerby

There has been a red card in 3 of the last 4 matches between Ayr and Killie. #AyrshireDerby

Also from @splstats, this is the first time there's been an Ayrshire derby on neutral ground.

Yeah, it's some terrific stuff. Really open to researching things for people that ask as well. Fairly sure I've seen the person behind it is a Kilmarnock fan as well.

I don't think it is, which makes the 1pm kick off a bit weird. Not sure what difference moving it away from the SPL games would make, apart from maybe getting radio commentary focus on it. But BBC Scotland tend to cover all the games anyway.
