He is speaking the truth. Ayr went out with the intention of killing the game. Their only hope was the game going to penalties.

He did not need to say that Jay...Magnanimous in victory?....I repeat his comments were totally uncalled for! Teams play to their strengths...your team has done it on many occasions!

He may not have needed to say it but at least he was being honest with his views and not scared to give an opinion.
What have Aberdeen got to do with this thread?

Despite all the possession, I don't think Killie did all that much to trouble the Ayr keeper. He had a decent game, but only had a few routine saves. There was one double save that was pretty good, but not anywhere near as busy as you would have expected. Even the goal was just brute force into the net at the third attempt.
25,000 in attendance wasn't bad, but even that was rather flat. The Ayr fans were still singing at the end to their credit, but I'm not sure they had much to sing about. The Kilmarnock fans only really started singing after the goal, which probably reflects how poor they were too.
Hopefully today's match has a bit more excitement. It should at least have two teams going for it.

That's why we sang, you only sing when you're winning. Ayr fans weren't quite as vocal as we can be, but we will always sing, win or lose.
As far as using the width, the players are used to a much narrower pitch, so to use the width would have opened us up defensively.
