Celtic are on a great run in the SPL at the moment and have found the knack of grinding out results, even if they have struggled in the odd game. Take last weekend for example - St Mirren had a fair few chances, and looked the better team for spells, but failed to capitalise and Celtic still squeezed out a two nil victory.

Falkirk will obviously feel they can win this with the Rangers victory probably still fresh in their minds, but I can't see a repeat of that in this game.

Celtic to progress for me.

if the attitude is right then doubt there is much Falkirk can do as the gulf in class should win through

Falkirk played well at the weekend coming back from being two nil down to drawing 2-2 with Raith Rovers. Could be a potential banana skin but think Celtic should have enough to win.

Fourth time in eight seasons these two have met in this competition. Three wins to one in Celtic's favour, with Falkirk winning a penalty shoot out at Celtic Park in November 2006 after a 1-1 draw. The other results at Celtic Park saw Celtic win 8-1 in September 2004 and 2-1 in September 2005, with a 4-0 victory for Celtic in Falkirk coming in September 2009.

The last time these two met in a semi final was 1997, where Falkirk won Scottish Cup replay 1-0 after a 1-1 draw. Interestingly, they lost the final to Kilmarnock which could be on again depending on Saturday's result.

Celtic's results so far in this competition have seen Ross County beaten 2-0 in Dingwall, and Hibernian beaten 4-1 in Edinburgh. Falkirk's results so far have seen them beat Albion Rovers 4-2 in Coatbridge, Stenhousemuir at home 3-1, Rangers at home 3-2, and Dundee United 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at Tannadice.

Cant see this going falkirks way.. It could be the usual edgy 1st half but Celtic 2 strong 4 them me thinks..
Celtic will be desperate 2 pick up the 1st piece of silverware of the season..
Hopefully 1st of 3...

Don't think it will be an edgy first half . Celtic will go out to hammer Falkirk ASAP . If they don't get a goal it could be an edgy second half . Can't see Celtic not winning this one tbh but stranger things have happened . Still 3-0 to the manky mob methinks .

im going to the game but dont think we have much of a chance against celtic. Forrest, Stokes, Hopper will be to good for our defence. We will have agood day out whatever happens. FARID will score his usual goal    Will be good experience for all the young players & hopefully we can hold onto them for a couple more years.
