We were discussing about going out for meals and such like. More often than not when FW and me are going out for dinner we book through www.5pm.co.uk as you often get better value than if you book directly through the restaurant. They source the best deals plus sometimes you get a free drink. I always reckon why pay more when you can get the same thing for less. He reckons that means I am tight with money where as I prefer to think I am sensible with it. He seems to think you have to splash the cash to impress a girl and this is how you treat a girl. FW and me do treat each other but we both like to be as sensible as we can with money. We still treat each other but just in different ways.
What are your thoughts?

Always try and pay for a girl, often when they are just friends too.
Have tried to change since I've been a student, but I really struggle to allow things to be split, or even worse paid for by someone else - even with mates or whoever.

It depends if it's a long term relationship or a first date though. Looking for a deal for your 'FW' seems OK, but if it was a first date I'd probably try and splash out a bit more - or at least not look like I was hunting for a cheap fix!

It's not a first date though. They've been together a few months now.

We've used 5pm since the start of our relationship pretty much. I've never felt the need to have to splash the cash to impress. From day one also though we've pretty much always split the bill between us.

I guess it depends on the girl too.
My longest lasting relationship (about 2 years) was one in which I paid for most things, and tended to treat her quite a bit. We lived together but I just let her pay half the rent, and then paid the bills on top of that myself, and generally paid when we'd go out, or when she needed something...Hmmm, and I wonder why it was always me who had to do the breaking up...?

We never get a dominos at their full price, but they often have a deal on, so yeah we do get them more often if its a deal.

Did he get a two for Tuesday deal at Dominios? I'd like to add Bripod uses that offer.

I got a curry, with no deal taken advantage off.
I have loads of vouchers for Dominos, so can use it any day of the week
