Premiums for young drivers are astonishingly high.. Is it not better to have them take out thier own policy rather than add to a parent, that way they start to build a personal no claims ? Only a question....

Our kid has five years no claims and done pass plus. Her current insurance for her wee Ibiza is around £700. Surely it should cost far less than £1000 to just add her to my insurance considering the very little use she'll get from it?
