I don't think there is anything wrong with it.
I do think though you shouldn't bet against your own team.

Quote
ie if you wanted Celtic to lose but bet for them to win you either profit emotionally of financially,
No such thing as 'winning' emotionally mate when it comes to gambling.....

no no what I meant was if you bet for a rival, and the bet comes through you win financially, if the bet falls through your rival lost so you win emotionally, so its a win win scenario

But if you win emotionally you lose financially so if you are happy to punt your hard earned and be 'happy' to lose then you shouldn't be punting at all mate.

Believe it or not I gave up betting because it was starting to scare me what it was doing to me, essentially I won some money on a few bets, thought I was mystic meg and started betting a lot, however my bets rarely exceeded £2, £5 being the maximum, and lost what I won so broke even. This is why I don't do the predictor, it might entice me back in to betting. A wee bet here or there to spice up an event is ok IMHO though

There is always that feeling that you want your rival team to lose, So i don't see the point in putting money on it
BUT
I also never will be on my own teams (Celtic or Raith). It's the first basic rule of betting haha

Being £25 down after Saturday makes me think you are right.
