Mrs Sheeny has just been out washing the cars for hours there.......hers is shining like a new pin and mine is still boggin'..clearly a half arsed effort on my motor.......the cheeky bitch

I have a cracking Karcher washer do-da with foam attachment but that only gets 2 or 3 outings a year.
personally i just take the motor to a carwash place up the road, staffed with a half dozen wee polish guys who do a cracking job, inside and out for £8......

Ive never been through a mechanised carwash machine thingy, nor have i often stood outside with a bucket and sponge.

What do you guys do?

I do it myself. I am tight, so a bottle of car shampoo (it isnt a head of hair, so not sure why its called that) and a sponge and bucket does me. I bring out the hose for a pre and post wash rinse and jobs a good un. It only takes 5-10 minutes and I wont pay a fiver to someone for something that takes so little time

I avoid drawing attention to my car's tyres, because the cracked and half there wheel trims would be even more obvious
