As the title suggests, I am about to start a self-imposed exile from the forum, amongst other things, and effectively ban myself from any distractions at the moment.

I know I tried this already to a degree in terms of focusing on Uni work, but I basically have no control. Most of my work is done from my PC, and if it isn't the forum distracting me then it's the Hearts website, or Twitter, or Facebook or many others news sites.

I have failed in my attempts to delegate my workload, and I now have about 2 months to come up with a film, shoot a film, edit a film, write 4 essays and do a couple of presentations - and basically decide the degree I will get after almost 4 years of studying. Kinda seems important...

I have asked Craig to impose a ban on my account, for a month, so I cannot be tempted to post on SFF for the time being.

I'm also taking time out from the podcasts after the next episode, just to avoid the time that I spend in co-hosting them with Craig, and then editing them afterwards.

I'm banning myself from Hearts matches at LEAST until the Scottish Cup quarter final, maybe even until the next Edinburgh derby.

Extreme measures are called for unfortunately!

Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know - mainly because I know how much you'll all miss me, and also just so nobody thinks I've either taken a cream puff at Hearts getting pumped at Fir Park (although that'd be a good a reason as any) or that the recent events on the forum have put me off.

Far from it, I'd love to spend the same amount of time on here (not sure what that says about my social life right now) but quite simply I can't!

So, for now, I bid you adieu, but we shall meet again, sooner rather than later I hope

Don't mention Higdon, I backed the 'Well to win 4-0 at 80-1, can't believe he missed that chance.

Fair play Laurie, prioritise the important things first, it's worth a few months off to ensure a good pass and a decent future.

I've made my interest known to Laurie, but he assures me that it's not that kind of film. It's a shame because I was interested in seeing how films were made and might even have helped out. Oh well.

So, I've just had 3 hectic days of shooting my short film.

It's been manic, crazy and all out mental - but fun at the same time.

Feeling a bit better about things, although I'm going through to Glasgow to review the footage on Monday and I think I might call everyone back in for one day's re-shooting just to get a few shots that I don't think we covered properly.

1 month left of uni, got this film to finish plus 2 essays. Still gonna be busy but I'm feeling a bit more confident about getting it all done on time!

So I'm back on here, well, to a degree. Maybe not 100% full-on Laurie participation quite yet
