Celtic fans were divided on WGS, . However 2 things they are not divided on is that he won trophies whilst hugely reducing costs so in that respect he did well. Secondly, the football his teams played was dire. Yes I would rather have the trophies in the onion bag as the majority would, but from a platform of winning the league and the chance to improve the team's footballing element, the team actually regressed in seasons 2 and 3.
However, the memory of how the leagues were one fades with time and he will be remembered as a successful Celtic manager in my view

Would that be Chick 'get to the fecking point' Young? yes that is fair comment
It's also easy to forget some of the long lucrative contracts given out to certain players who were past their prime near the end of his tenure
