Start in the Third Division. No matter which club, there should be no bending of rules to suit the majority

if you are forced to reform then you are effectively a new team - no matter how big you are you start in the third and fight your way back.

So third division seems to be the majority view.. therefore were this to happen to Rangers then my guess is that there would be a lot of chairmen in the lower league doing cartwheels...and a lot in the top flight crying into there flat beer...just my thoughts...

How many fans do you think would go to watch Rangers in 3rd division if it were to happen?

I put staying in the SPL w/ penalties but only on the proviso that a new entity is formed and the phoenix company buy their old club's rights to play in the SPL (which as far as I'm aware no-one can stop them doing?) I don't see how they can be forced to go down the leagues if they hold their old playing rights, with penalties from going into admin, etc. being applicable

The rules will be changed if needed to keep them in the SPL. Where they should start is a different question and while the third might be "right" it is never going to happen.

When Airdrie went bust they were in the 1st Div, they bought Clydebank's 'slot' in the 2nd Div but were forced to play in the 3rd Division and start afresh. Not ideal but fair. We shouldn't be making it easy for companies to liquidate and reform under another guise and continue as though nothing had happened.
