Once again sections of the Rangers support have gotten the club into bother. It seems the minute emotions run high certain so called fans revert to type, thinks the world and it's dug is out to get them so must be defiant by singing bile at the games as a show of 'support'.

They don't do walking away but I bet Rangers FC wished they would shut the feck up and keep their bigoted views to themselves.

Yes I know this topic is done to death, I'm sick of it too but I think it needs highlighting that in times of adversity the scummy element of the club's fanbase always rear their ugly heads when the club could be doing with positive support

It's certainly the last thing the club and real fans need that's for sure........I just don't get what these idiots think they are doing when they know the chants will just drag the clubs name down :-?

I don't think they would have occurred as by all accounts things have been vastly improving

Did those involved not even have an inkling (and ye don't need to be the brain of Britain here) the position they would put the club in, a position certainly not needed considering what's going on at the moment............

That's my point Hoopz. Rangers are in turmoil right now, the fans are dismayed and rightly so. Many fans wanted to show their undying support for the club at the game, but certain elements use see this as an excuse to get the tunes oot. It only spoiled what was a very positive gesture and could bring the club further trouble

I had assumed that it was sung by people who were maybe not regulars at the stadium, especially since regulars do seem to have put that kind of thing behind them, but hoopz comments surprised and disappointed me. What idiot plans on getting their club into trouble? The club needs to find out who it is and deal with them, regardless of what the police/SPL rule.

Many so called football fans will take heed when the cameras are on them, but revert to type when amongst thier own. Its in their blood. Just ask Donald Findlay.

Constantly dragging the club down with their bigoted singing and i must say im not suprised, in fact if things get any worst for Rangers in coming months i can only see things getting more bigoted from the fans.

If they really want to sing the songs then why do they not just leave some words out or change it to something else that is less offensive.

Ive posted many a word on my belief that the offensive, bigoted, illicit chanting must be stopped. Gers fans are not doing the club any good, celtic fans also regularly shame their club with similar.

I have also stated that i dont get offended by singing at football games........no matter which set of fans are doing it...

with regards this latest incident........not good but in the grand scheme of things it doesnt matter a jot.....that will continue to be adressed by the club soon enough.........more mud slinging and whataboutery of the highest order i say.

To be honest i dont get offended when im at a match either sheeny but that dos not make it right, i dont understand why the fans cant change the words to certain songs.....Hello Hello why dont they change the bit that says fenian in it to Celtic or something.

I always remember when i went to Manchester for the UEFA cup final and walking along the road with thousands of other bears. I was with my brother , brother in law , sister and my cousin who is one of the top cops in Scotland, anyway we were passing by a school with a load of children and this large group of guys started to sing all sorts of bigoted bile that i didnt even know the words too......felt so embarresed at the time as did the group i was with.

Im not condoning the singing in any way, but it just doesnt bother me....thats the truth. Public disorder bothers me but not singing per say.

My point really was that although its not good or acceptable, the club will sort that out together with the authorities with DUE haste. The very existance of our club is at stake here and with due respect....the ears of the 'forever offended' dont matter a jot right now.

To be honest, it was coming. The Rangers message boards last week were full of "lets bring back the Billy Boys - what can they do to us now, dock us points?!"

I'm with Sheeny, I don't care what gets sung at me. There's far bigger issues in society that I do have a problem with, but the singing is just a symptom of the problems, not the problem itself. I'm a big boy, I know "names will never hurt me" as the wee saying from school goes!

Sometimes it seems to me that on occasion those who claim not to care what is written/said about them are sometimes the easiest offended and that is not directed at you Psycho, just a general observation.
