Bri on some level I hoped that you had just made a mistake with the quote I highlighted. I thought that you would explain that you had made a simple mistake and that you had meant to say that the majority of Rangers fans supported them for footballing reasons. I then intended to accept your simple mistake and move on.

Clearly I had overestimated your intelligence and underestimated your bigotry. Your statement shows you up to be someone who is happy to believe an obviously ridiculous and entirely baseless idea in order to continue your irrational hatred of Rangers. You are no different from racists , bigots and ignorant hatemongers throughout the world who use false beliefs to sustain hatred and persecution.

Even the most openly anti Rangers contributors to this site have never made such an outrageous claim.

I remember seeing stands full of Rangers fans singing vile songs about killing Catholics on TV when I was younger, and even now you see the British flag being waved by all and sundry presumably because of the link between the club and being protestant. It's all designed to appeal to the casual bigot, I'd absolutely love to see Sheeny try and justify his "offended ears" stance to the parents of young men who've been murdered as a result of sectarian attacks.

Whether you support such attacks or not I don't really care, and if hating another football club for stoking up the sort of bigotry that results in such beliefs makes me a "bigot" then so be it.

You could only be a Rangers fan with such twisted logic.

If you're still stumped as to why people might not like an organisation that makes a buck out of the bigotry that's directly resulted in so many tragedies over the years then I suggest there's no more to be said. I'd have thought we'd all agree, but apparently not.

Unless of course you condone such actions or perhaps even indulge in said bigotry - I'd wager that's the case but I'll leave that for others to decide.
