There was a reason given - just because you dont like it doesn't mean it isn't valid.
I don't think anyone can be this blissfully unaware as to why other football fans might hate Rangers. Maybe you're one of those who acts a certain way and genuinely doesn't see the problem with it, who knows?
I think it goes deeper than that and is sympomatic of a number of OF fans, it's called arrogance, Aberdeen were the main rivals for Celtic when Rangers faltered (true United and Hearts were in the picture too) when Celtic floundered Aberdeen were the main rivals for Rangers in some of the 9 in a row titles, then the OF took over from there, but some OF fans seem determined not to give non OF teams their place in that, when I explained that some of the hatred came from incidents when Aberdeen and Rangers were rivals sheeny dismissed that as rubbish due to the fact that Aberdeen had never been traditional rivals, what has that got to do with it?? rivalry can build up over years for any number of reasons, look at Leeds and Utd, Leeds hated Utd with a passion, is that dismissed?? And perhaps a couple of Rangers fans should ask, if success breeds hatred, why were Celtic not despised to the same extent as Rangers when they were successful
as an add on, I have repeatedly stated that the examples given are a snap shot from a couple of fans, shame that has been dismissed out of hand, but not entirely unexpected
