Couldn't be arsed mopping up other folks mess, still post on there mind. You can look at stuff like the Manchester riots as a snapshot as to why else they might be hated, if supporting a club purely because of your religion or because your dad was a bigot, and your dad before him was a bigot doesn't make one of them enough of a fanny. "No one likes us, we don't care" - hmmm.

So Gers are hated here because of Manchester.......

Stop trying to justify your mindless hatred. It cant be dressed up.

If you think in general gers fans are haters of catholics then im affraid that puts you squarely in the catagory of the moron element of the guys you profess to hate. Absolutely shocking statement that

If you also reckon the average bear is pre-programmed to hate catholics then im affraid you are making a complete arse of yourself here again.

Stop digging Bri and go sit in a dark room son.....

I think you need to look up the word "snapshot" in the dictionary.

Rangers have made an awful lot of money out the bigot element over the years, which is why they'd rather sweep it under the carpet rather than get rid of it. The recent clampdown isn't because folk have realised it's wrong, it's because UEFA and others will boot the club in the balls.

I know decent Rangers fans and accept there's a minority who are generally just in it for the football and don't choose a football team for religious reasons, although i still question them as to why they associate themselves with that shite.

Why do you think no-one likes Rangers?

Sheeny you ask for an explanation on why Aberdeen fans dislike rangers, and you are given answers, yet won't accept it.

Sometimes a dislike can be built up by a number of small incidents that are minor when looked at in isolation.

I said i have never had a rational or logical reason for why they hate Rangers. Still havent.
Pure hatred for hatred sake.....

IMO its easier to hate Rangers than accept they just werent good enough in the 90's.

Deluded and full of hate........what a lovely bunch :D

So the reason folk hate Rangers is because we weren't good enough in the 90's?

There was a reason given - just because you dont like it doesn't mean it isn't valid.

I don't think anyone can be this blissfully unaware as to why other football fans might hate Rangers. Maybe you're one of those who acts a certain way and genuinely doesn't see the problem with it, who knows?

I think it goes deeper than that and is sympomatic of a number of OF fans, it's called arrogance, Aberdeen were the main rivals for Celtic when Rangers faltered (true United and Hearts were in the picture too) when Celtic floundered Aberdeen were the main rivals for Rangers in some of the 9 in a row titles, then the OF took over from there, but some OF fans seem determined not to give non OF teams their place in that, when I explained that some of the hatred came from incidents when Aberdeen and Rangers were rivals sheeny dismissed that as rubbish due to the fact that Aberdeen had never been traditional rivals, what has that got to do with it?? rivalry can build up over years for any number of reasons, look at Leeds and Utd, Leeds hated Utd with a passion, is that dismissed?? And perhaps a couple of Rangers fans should ask, if success breeds hatred, why were Celtic not despised to the same extent as Rangers when they were successful

as an add on, I have repeatedly stated that the examples given are a snap shot from a couple of fans, shame that has been dismissed out of hand, but not entirely unexpected

I think that sums it up fairly well, also I reckon some Rangers fans couldn't give a shit as they think Aberdeen is an irrelevance and not worth bothering about, and they could be right

If you genuinely believe that the majority of Rangers fans chose to support their team for religious reasons then you seriously do have a dangerously distorted image of the club and its fans. And if you chose to hate Rangers based on such a ridiculous belief then you are clearly well placed amongst the mindless, some would say bigoted haters that are unfortunately associated with Scottish football occasionally. To be honest I am shocked that you could make such a stupid statement.

Personally I couldn’t give a f*ck if you hate Rangers. The sheep's right your team is too insignificant for most Rangers fans to waste time hating. You haven’t been a threat to us for decades and your hatred of us clearly stems from jealousy so it’s more pity than hatred I feel for you and your club.

There are other reasons rather than the jealousy that you think it is about.

Sheep and Bripod have both explained these.
