Have been away for a while so lets get this thread a bit up to date....

Saturday, July 28th
Ramsdens cup 1st round

Wick Academy 2-4 Raith Rovers

Saturday, August 4th
League cup 1st round

Raith Rovers 4-3 Berwick

Saturday, August 11th
1st Division

Raith Rovers 2-0 Hamilton

Tuesday, August 14th
Ramsdens cup 2nd round

Raith Rovers 5-2 Montrose

So after 4 matches Raith have won all 4 and are looking likely to improve a lot on last seasons finish

BBC

Raith moved up to second in the Scottish First Division after an away win at Falkirk.
Goals from Allan Walker and Pat Clarke either side of half-time were enough to secure a second successive victory.

The result leaves Falkirk without a point after their opening two games as they sit in ninth place.
Falkirk's Lyle Taylor forced a good save from David McGurn after just 30 seconds.

However, it was Raith who opened the scoring in the last minute of the first half.
Jason Thomson's cross was headed on by Brian Graham and Walker turned the ball into the net from close range.

The lead was doubled two minutes into the second half when Clarke collected Walker's cross and fired past Michael McGovern from six yards out.

This has been a great start for Raith and hopefully it will continue against Livingston next week

Raith are doing well. I know Grant Murray is now manager but have they signed new players?

did they not lose last season's top scorer (boyle?) to dundee too?

seems an excellent start, new manager, top scorer gone, can only get better it would seem

Grieg Spence (the trialist I said), Grant Adnerson (from Hamilton) and Stuart Anderson have been added

I'd expect a home win after the start they have had.

hmmm. I'm not so sure. Was never really a fan of his at Tynecastle, he's got a good left peg on him but can he actually defend? I have my doubts.

Darren Jackson was appointed Gary Locke's assistant back in May for those who don't know.

With all the talk about Lennon at Hibs being the main problem to Dundee United's chances of automatic promotion, I actually think these two will make a good management team too and cause problems for United.  There are a few good managers and coaches now playing their trade in the Championship - it's really turning into a decent league for the new season ahead I think

My mate's a Hearts season ticket holder and reckons he was quite decent on his day.  Has a fair amount of pace too.  I think he will do well in Championship to be honest.
