I know where you're coming from, however, almost every time I debate someone on independence they seem to be protestant and support Rangers and those who back independence are catholic and support Celtic. Of course there are many exceptions to this, and you are most certainly one of them, but generally it does seem to follow these lines in my experience.
Perhaps due to the genes inherited from their Irish ancestry?
TBH Panda, I think that's probably down to where you do your debating.
I'm asking an honest question here and would expect an honest answer as well. Do you think your support of and and ties to RFC, your religious status and your upbringing affects your judgement of unionism and separatism? I Hope you understand what I mean and where I'm coming from with that question. Also it's not just aimed at yourself, it's aimed at the likes of hoopz as well.
I cannot answer on Dug's behalf, however since we are from more or less the same age group, support the same team, and were brought up as presbyterian, I think I can safely say that none of those factors has any bearing on our thoughts about independence.
I tend to favour it, but I do have concerns about the ability of the SNP in its current form being able to manage the country.
Been through it all before with you, you sound really bitter and im surprised that a man who who claims to not be easily offended is deeply offended by a flag that represents catholics peace and prods , ps why fly an old flag when theres an updated one? Gees peace hairy ffs
You just don't get it, do you?
It's not about the flag; it's about what it symbolises.
It's not about the founder and his intentions, which were and are of course praiseworthy; it's about the actions taken by the owners and board members of the club during the first 30 or 40 years of its existence.
Can you deny that those people, in common with quite a number of other Irish immigrants, provided aid to the Irish Republican cause?
But once again you adopt the tactic of attacking the poster rather than debating the opinion.
