On the suggestion of BD, I am opening up my status to a thread.
Don't know if age related, but I gave up a perfectly good and reasonably well-paid job in the public sector, with "gold-plated" pension (if you read the Mail) because I got fed up working within myself. Also as far as career prospects go, as somebody who had only worked in the public sector for 4 1/2 years, I reckon I wasn't going anywhere. Genuinely from what I have seen it is who you know in the public sector.
I had become a moaner - like a few I worked with - and decided to take back control.
My new job has more money, lesser pension and a lot more risk - ie if I feck up I will be out on my arse (the way it should be).
Still got a few years left on a big mortgage and kids are not through school so my wife's point was "why risk it ?"
As I am not having an affair or buying a Harley or beginning to dye my hair is this a form of mid-life crisis. I turned 50 last month. I appreciate a few of the regulars are around middle age and some have been there done that so any thoughts and any examples of what you have done ?
A must win according to WGS but that may simply be for him to keep his job. For me its all over.
Strachan said his team selection was rusty against canada because too many not playing forvtheir club. He has similar with his attacking options tonight. Griffiths should start as his predatory instincts are superior to the other options.
We'll need to score at least 2 to win as I think Slovenia will score.
Going for 1-1 and WGS to be out of work by Tuesday afternoon.
